Aubrey (my former roommate) and I toyed with a few ideas but ultimately decided on this beer-and-a-shot combo named after the dreaded Blue Screen of Death. The Valencia orange and coriander notes in Blue Moon balance well with the earthy, spicy flavor profile of tequila and the bright, sweet flavors of blue curaçao and pineapple juice. The surprise addition of chocolate bitters adds a dark, rich note that ties the tequila, beer, and fruit flavors together.
Tools & Supplies
In an ice-filled cocktail shaker, combine tequila, blue curaçao, juice, and bitters (if using). Shake well and pour into shot glass. Serve with Blue Moon.
